In addition to busts, I also create portraits on mugs. The mugs are made of ceramic and the faces are modelled onto them. I usually make them from light-coloured clay and offer various glazing options.

As only the middle part of the face is visible in these portraits, I require less photographic material. A frontal and a profile photo are sufficient. The face can be designed with open or closed eyes, depending on the photographic material available.

Since the faces have to adapt to the shape of the mug, they look slightly different from the person portrayed, so they are an approximation and essence of a person.

If you are looking for a bust portrait, I also create these in ceramic, for example as a salt shaker.​
